Saturday in the Bastille

dex in the studio

This past Saturday we recorded the track “BTO” at The Bastille, in Arlington, VA. Thanks to the talents of Eamonn Aiken, the track sounds totally badass, as they say.

What you’ve got to look forward to in this recording is what some are calling an “awesome new solo that has guitarmonies that sound like Bob Seeger’s “Down On Mainstreet.” And by “some” we mean Jason.

Lastly, if there was ever any doubt that Dex is the hardest working drummer in DC, let the above photos serve as proof positive that he works hard, and sleeps even harder.

Last Band Standing

April 13th, 2009

So, yeah, we’re competing in DC101’s Last Band Standing competition for a spot in this year’s Chili Cookoff. We’ll be playing in the last of the three-show semi-finals at Jammin’ Java in Vienna Virginia on April 23rd, battling against Future, Nikki Barr Band, and Dropout Year - samples from all of which can be found thru links on the Chili Cookoff web site (click the graphic above to get there).

If we win, we’ll be sharing the stage with the likes of The Offspring, Third Eye Blind, and Papa Roach!

Sweet, right?!
